2025 ASCE - Outstanding Civil Engineering Project of the Year
The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) National Capital Section honored the Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) Runway Rehabilitation as Outstanding Civil Engineering Project of the Year. The ASCE National Capital Section proudly recognizes the rehabilitation of Washington National Airport Runways 1-19 and 15-33 as the Outstanding Civil Engineering Project of the Year. This ambitious project represents one of the most significant infrastructure undertakings at (DCA) since its establishment in the early 1940s. The lead submitting agency for the project was the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA), the lead design firm was Crawford, Murphy, & Tilly, the prime contractor was Lagan US, Inc., and the owner was MWAA.
2024 NAPA - Quality in Construction

2023 ACPA - RW15 Hold Bay
Lagan Construction received the American Concrete Paving Association (ACPA) award for Excellence in Concrete Pavement for the EXPANSION OF RUNWAY 15 HOLD BAY at Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) in Arlington, VA. Lagan Virginia, LLC was recognized by MWAA for their Outstanding Safety Record on the Runway 1-19 Overlay and Taxiway Rehabilitation Project at Reagan Washington National Airport.
2007 - CIAPR Project of the Year
Lagan Puerto Rico Limited, LLC was honored by the Colegio de Ingenieros y Agrimensores de Puerto Rico (College of Engineers and Surveyors of PR) with the 2007 Civil Engineering Project of the Year. The project was for the Reconstruction of Runway 10-28 at the Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) in San Juan, PR.
